00s Issey Miyake ‘A-POC’ Brush Stroke Knitted Abstract Denim

Issey Miyake, an exemplary artist and fashion forefather, began his creative endeavours in 1970. Ever expanding his regime with sub-lines, the Japanese native has been pushing contemporary boundaries for over five decades. Establishing his A Piece of Cloth (A-POC) label in 1998, Miyake worked to bridge the gap between consumer and designer. Issey Miyake enlisted a team of engineers led by Yoshiyuki Miyamae, and tasked the group to “weave the future”. The team curated a manufacturing technique which utilized a technology to create clothing from a single piece of thread, throughout one process. This ideology has in turn enabled the creative to create diverse relationships with the “wearer”.

Debuting under the A-POC label during the 2000s era, this pair of denim comes in a knitted base. Fit with brush stroke details and metallic accents, the woven textile comes in a wide cut to pair. Measuring a size 31x29, they’re in pristine condition throughout.
