00s Le Grande Bleu (L.G.B) ‘Biker’ Cut Distressed Denim Jacket
Nobuhiko Satoh is a Japanese designer who doubles as the founder of Le Grand Bleu and sister brand IfSixWasNine. While there’s little to no available information on the creative, his designs speak volumes, crafted by hand in Tokyo. Specializing in denim, LGB boasts a slim, strung out rockstar aesthetic, built on tropes of angst and craftsmanship. With an acute design philosophy, Satoh proves his distinct interest in furs and exotic textiles, as well as upcycling and utility. In recent history, Nobuhiko’s work has amassed notoriety among archivists alike, rooting from an over saturated market and growing interest in Tokyo’s household labels.
Debuting in the 2000s era, this distressed biker jacket exemplifies LGB’s unique artistic style. In a slim cut, a double breast collar sits alongside reinforced seam lines and multi-zip hardware. With a detachable neck, welt pockets are accented by yellowed whiskering and thrashed markings throughout. In pristine condition, fitting a size medium.
