00s New Rock ‘Skull’ Spiked Chainlink Leather Platform Boots
New Rock, founded in 1978, is a Spanish goth-centric design label pushing forth traditional footwear. Their boot making dates back to 1928, having aided in the popularization of heavyweight silhouettes and maximalist avenues. New Rock’s brand ethos reside in metallic hardware and distinctive lacing systems, projecting an unapologetic attitude towards conformity and tradition. Through grotesque craft, they’ve established themselves as a paramount in the footwear scene, collaborating with the likes of Demna Gvasalia’s Vetements among others.
Debuting in the 2000s era, these full leather boots feature a platform sole among chain linking atop the upper. Accented by spiking details protruding from the base, two guards sit in pair with skulls on the toe box and patchwork flame detailing. Finalized with etched New Rock branding on each belt buckle, they come as a size 42 or US 9 in pristine condition throughout.
