1017 Alyx 9SM ‘Negative Portrait’ Split Hood Laced Jersey Hoodie

Founded in 2015 by American designer Matthew Williams and Luca Benini, 1017 Alyx 9SM has played a major role in the upstream battle to redefine the ethos of luxury wear. Drawing the label’s name from an amalgamation of William’s birthday, 1017 being October 17th, Alyx the name of his daughter, and 9SM an abbreviation of the brand's founding studio address in Saint Mark's Place, New York City, William’s has found himself in the undefined realm of ‘luxury streetwear’. Having originally debuted Alyx as a womenswear exclusive label back in 2015, it would only be in 2017 that we’d see the induction of menswear, bringing iconic silhouettes like the roller coaster belt to every stocking retailer. Through highly unique graphic design, tech-centric textiles and a new-found emphasis on jewellery, William’s continues to grow as he undertakes head of design at Givenchy and his eponymous brand.

 

Debuting in recent seasons, this hoodie features an undefined negative portrait on the underside among a series of metallic hardware. With a zipper track and split hood, jersey-style lace detailing runs along the collar, accented by silver aglets and an M-65 oversized hood. Fitting a size large, this piece is in pristine condition condition.
