2000s Whitesville ‘Night Rider’ Leather Chenille Patched Varsity Jacket
While rather unknown, Whitesville sits among the heights of Japanese sportswear. Through the 1940s-60s the production company would release an array of Japanese takes on Western baseball jackets and apparel. Travelling to the East for deployment, American soldiers would inadvertently popularize the silhouettes once back home, building notoriety around the label. Despite such efforts the label would be abandoned years later, only to be to be revived by Toyo Enterprises in 2007. Since, the label has amassed hysteria in the underground Japanese scene, making varsity-style silhouettes extremely lucrative.
Debuting in the 2000s era, this letterman jacket features a wide array of patchwork and embroidered detailing. Atop a cream base sits black leather sleeves, complimented by a pierced chenille skull emblem, iron cross, and winged chain stitching. On the underside, an embroidered skeleton rides a motorcycle as mystic creatures leach from his head, outlined in black with a ‘Night Riders’ slogan just beath. Finalized with ribbed and striped hems, tagged as a size 40 or large, in great condition throughout.
