Jean Paul Gaultier is a French designer who has been pushing societal boundaries since founding in 1982. Over four consecutive decades, he’s consciously reconstructed our ideals of masculine beauty, experimenting with fashion’s digitized future while paying homage to the past. Utilizing rebellious textiles like skin-fitting mesh, he’s unapologetically sexualized the virile physique, rewriting the industry rules while stomping on preconceived notions. Using graphic design as his muse, Jean Paul Gaultier has single handedly altered our perceptions of the human silhouette and its placement in runway fashion.
Doubling as both the rarest and most lucrative Jean Paul Gaultier mesh, this longsleeve is truly one of a kind. Debuting in the mid 90s, the x-ray of a seemingly deceased figure plagues the torso, encompassed with an array of various animals. Ranging from cockroaches to butterflies, birds and snakes, the rustic palette is accented with spiderwebs and an aged border, draping down the underside and either sleeve. As a skin fitting piece, the mesh weave sits elasticated to the body, tagged as a size extra large in pristine condition throughout.
