AW01 General Research ‘Snorkel Collar’ Fur Olive MA-1 Bomber Jacket

Established in 1994 by Setsumasa Kobayashi, General Research has articulated an extreme commitment to function and quality. Driving each design practice with regard to both usefulness and necessity, Kobayashi is a designer who focuses “neither about fashion nor about sports, but more about everyday living.” Testing each garment prior to release at his isolated retreat enclosed by deep forestry throughout the Japanese Nango Mountains, Kobayashi emits a sense of personal connection through his clothing. Crafting items made to last while humbly excelling at his craft, General Research, now known as Mountain Research, continues to innovate in an otherwise saturated market.

 

Debuting in the Autumn of 2001, this olive green bomber emphasizes the ethos of the General Research namesake. Featuring a plethora of hardware on the face, between button snap closures, rope details and transformable zipper detailing on the collar, metallic accents coat both the seam line and MA-1 sleeve pocket. Fur then revolves the wool lined collar, in pair with cinching waistline closures on the underside. Tagged as a size medium, in pristine condition throughout.
