AW01 Undercover “Melting Pot” Small Parts Geometric Puffer Jacket
An idea riding on ingenuity and versatility, the founder of Undercover, Jun Takahashi, created a interchangeable multi-season collective known as “Small Parts”. The title plays on the hyper-functionality of each garment, zippers lining every hem released while allowing for “parts” to be swapped between each other. From jackets to crewnecks, every garment can be stripped and reconstructed in multiple ways, the premise reinterpreted through a plethora of seasons. “Small Parts” can be accredited with the first glimpse of Undercover’s worldwide success, inducted into the Toyko Opera City Art Gallery in 2015.
The outer shell is crafted with protruding, hexagonal shapes, sitting atop a dense down fill interior. This jacket utilizes metallic riri hardware, among synched hems and fully detachable parts. Extremely warm due to the interior fleece lining, the garment comes in a navy blue colourway, debuting in the Autumn 2001 collection. Tagged as a size large, in great condition throughout.
