AW03 Dolce & Gabbana Bondage Strap Forest Green Cargo Pants

Chained and synched, each model walked with an aura of submission, confined within the clothes that wore them. Dolce & Gabbana’s most notorious Autumn 2003 collection, regarded as the beginning of the house’s prime era (just a season after the womenswear “SEX” show), catered to a new audience, pulling from the likes of BDSM and highly utilitarian garments. Without fear, straps encompass the male silhouette, wrapping and straining extremities through belts and bondage straps. The collection paid homage to artists like Helmut Lang and Jean Paul Gaultier, shifting the course of generational design while unapologetically stepping in areas of rather “taboo” utility.

 

Featuring a metallic clasping mechanism, wrapping hems reach from the frontal hem of these pants, securing just below the waist band. Heavy stitching reinforces the underside of the knee, and raw hems accentuate the brutalist mantra seen throughout. Cargos pockets are symmetric on either outer leg, finalized in a deep forest green dye. Fitting a size 34x34, in pristine condition throughout.
