AW03 Dolce & Gabbana Bondage Strap Reinforced Flared Denim

Chained and synched, each model walked with an aura of submission, confined by the clothes that wore them. Dolce & Gabbana’s most notorious Autumn 2003 collection, catered to a new audience, pulling from the likes of BDSM and highly utilitarian garments. In it’s entirety, straps shamelessly encompass the male silhouette, wrapping and straining extremities through belts and bondage straps. The collection paid homage to artists like Helmut Lang and Jean Paul Gaultier, shifting the course of generational design while unapologetically stepping in areas of rather “taboo” utility.

 

Meshing brilliantly with the ethos of Dolce & Gabbana’s notorious Autumn 2003 collection, this pair of denim is anything but simplistic. Bondage straps synch every available hem, zippers lying just beneath, while reinforced knees are coated with grid pattern stitching. The underside is split into two panels, vertical creases revealing the first over-dyed wash, while a seam segregates each. Industrial brass accenting runs throughout, beautifully complimenting the desired aged look. Due to the flared hems, sizing can stretch up to a 32-39 inch waist and 32 inch inseam, in great condition through.
