AW03 Jean Paul Gaultier ‘Devil’s Horn’ Black Knitted Beanie Hat
Jean Paul Gaultier’s Autumn 2003 collection revolved around highly militaristic tropes. Straying from his traditionally full print mediums, the French designer would experiment with aviation-centric cuts and rigid nylon textiles. In a tonal palette, he’d plaster restrictive, bondage strap details among form fitting profiles and down fill puffers. Referencing to flight jackets, we’d watch as a series of parka hoods clashed with two tone cargos, inaugurating a new era for the Gaultier label.
Debuting in the Autumn of 2003, this unique headpiece features two devil like horns atop a black knitted base. Fit with the iconic Gaultier pull tab on the underside, amid a ribbed bottom hem, this piece is a one size accessory and is in great condition throughout.
