AW04 Helmut Lang ‘Shearling Leather’ Heavy Weight Hooded Parka

Helmut Lang’s Autumn 2004 collection at his eponymous maison brought forth his roots in both utility and haute couture luxury. Walking chic textiles and muted tones, details found in fetishwear were concealed under sleeves and collars to pair, accenting the complexities of his typical design philosophies. Through asymmetric cuts, bronze, draping silhouettes and a nod to his Austrian heritage, we’d find “pleated oganzas on evening gowns”, iconic bondage strap mummy denim and restriction on every available axis.

Debuting in the Autumn of 2004 as look 5/45, this incredible parka comes in an exotic shearling leather base. Crafted in a blistered black shade, the heavyweight overcoat is cut with a fishtail back, hand straps on either cuff and heavy duty metallic hardware throughout. Tagged as a size 54 or large, this piece comes in pristine condition throughout.
