AW04 Helmut Lang ‘Chasity’ Ball Chain Washed Indigo Denim

Helmut Lang’s Autumn 2004 collection at his eponymous maison brought forth his roots in both utility and haute couture luxury. Walking chic textiles and muted tones, details found in fetishwear were concealed under sleeves and collars to pair, accenting the complexities of his typical design philosophies. Through asymmetric cuts, bronze, draping silhouettes and a nod to his Austrian heritage, we’d find “pleated oganzas on evening gowns”, iconic bondage strap mummy denim and restriction on every available axis.

Debuting in look 12 of the Autumn 2004 collection, these incredibly obscure ‘Chasity’ jeans come complete with chains on the crotch and a blue wash. Restricting movement when worn, that allow for both a synched and relaxed fit, while simultaneously accenting the bottom’s deep wash. Fitting a size 32x27.5, this extremely rare pair of denim is in pristine condition throughout.
