AW04 Helmut Lang SAMPLE ‘Camel Leather’ Heavy Weight Hooded Parka

Helmut Lang’s Autumn 2004 collection at his eponymous maison brought forth his roots in both utility and haute couture luxury. Walking chic textiles and muted tones, details found in fetishwear were concealed under sleeves and collars to pair, accenting the complexities of his typical design philosophies. Through asymmetric cuts, bronze, draping silhouettes and a nod to his Austrian heritage, we’d find “pleated oganzas on evening gowns”, iconic bondage strap mummy denim and restriction on every available axis.

 

Debuting in the Autumn of 2004, this incredible parka comes in an exotic camel leather base. As an unreleased Sample, this piece was never officially released to the public, making it an extreme rarity. Lined with a fleece interior, the tan colouring is accented by a chest pocket and high collar which shields the wearer’s neck and face when on body. Tagged as a size medium, in pristine condition, this will likely never come up for sale again.
