AW05 Undercover “Danger” Thrashed Full Print Script Tank Top

Jun Takahashi’s Autumn 2005 collection titled “Arts and Crafts” explored oddities and tropes of Japanese couture. Walking strange, disproportioned silhouettes, this season offered a distinct heterogeneity from Undercover’s portfolio. Clashing prints, cuts and accessories, the runway was a depiction of a craft room itself, intentionally lacking unity to create a manic feeling. Together, the fittings were ill, but apart, pieces flourished in their own regard. Revealing the true constructs of Takahashi’s reign, select items have been inducted under the “grail” umbrella, solidifying Autumn 2005 as a staple of Undercover’s reign.

Exemplary of the collection’s polarizing variety, this distressed tank top may look subtle from afar. Looking closer, script lettering coats the front and back, reading “DANGER” in a repetitive medium. Towards the bottom, the hem is released, completely thrashed with hanging threads and asymmetric distressing throughout. Fitting a size large, in good condition.
