AW06 Dior by John Galliano ‘Abstract’ Emboridered Denim Mini Skirt

Inducted under the Christian Dior maison in 1995, John Galliano pioneered an unreplicated era at the eponymous label. The British designer revealed a modern, theatrical and romantic identity to Dior, bringing life and prosperity atop the runway. Shying only from muted palettes, Galliano’s take felt euphoric and brave, unapologetically pushing the catwalk’s limits. He told stories with colour and often radiated with ecstasy, creating looks that jumped off the mere vessel carrying them. Not only did John Galliano revolutionize the turn of the century, but in many aspects, invented it.

 

Debuting in the Autumn of 2006 under John Galliano’s direction, this incredible skirt comes in a blue denim base with contrasting embroidery throughout. Fit with white abstract contrast stitching, a series of geometric shapes and patterns are found towards the bottom hem, back pockets and face of the skirt. Finished with an embossed Dior leather patch, it fits a size 30 inch waist and is in great condition throughout.
