  • Julius’ origins humbly reside in the world of cinema, only moving to the fashion industry in 2004. Launching a small capsule collection a decade prior, founder Tatsuo Horikawa unveiled an experimental leather goods company coined ‘NUKE’ in ‘97. From here, the Japanese designer refined his exaggerated and rather uniform niche, essentially rebranding NUKE to the Julius four years later. Horikawa launched Julius_7 (menswear) and MA Julius (unisex) in 2004, defining the namesake as a maximalist among other identities. Presenting his first collection at Paris Fashion Week shortly after, the luxury label is now celebrated for great feats in silhouette and construction.

Crafted as an exhibition Sample for Julius’ Autumn 2007 collection, this jacket features an array of 3D hardware and utilitarian attributes. Cargo pockets line the torso and sleeves while reinforced seam work plagues every hem, clasped with metallic zippers and button snap closures. When worn, the body is intended to sits just above one’s waistline, accenting the bellowing oversized sleeves on either arm and synched neck. In pristine condition throughout, fitting a size large.
