While rather unknown, Whitesville sits among the heights of Japanese sportswear. Through the 1940s-60s the production company would release an array of Japanese takes on Western baseball jackets and apparel. Travelling to the East for deployment, American soldiers would inadvertently popularize the silhouettes once back home, building notoriety around the label. Despite such efforts the label would be abandoned years later, only to be to be revived by Toyo Enterprises in 2007. Since, the label has amassed hysteria in the underground Japanese scene, making varsity-style silhouettes extremely lucrative.
Debuting in 2007, this letterman jacket features a wide array of patchwork and embroidered detailing. Atop a black wool base sits leather sleeves, complimented by spider web detailing, shot gun barrel reading ‘This Smoke is Poison’ and iron cross motif. On the underside a patched skeleton sits with a cigarette on his lip, outlined with chain stitched smoke and ‘Black Bones Phoenix’ lettering just beath. Finalized with ribbed and striped hems, tagged as a size 38 or medium, in great condition throughout.
