  • Junya Watanabe’s Autumn 2014 collection paid homage to Britain’s heritage. The Japanese native showed in a mansion at the heart of Paris, France, speaking poetically to the people of London - their culture and most importantly, their style. Watanabe travelled deep into the arteries of the UK’s most dominant city, repurposing the grunge wave that overthrew the late 70s and paid homage to the classic tailoring popularized by labels like Burberry. Regardless of the stark disparity between two classics, the creative blended each seamlessly, styling peacoats with patched denim and mohair knits with collared shirts. The runway may have been askew, but didn’t look it, for each outfit was elegant, converse and certainly rebellious.

Debuting in the Autumn of 2014, this knitted sweater features contrast striping throughout. Weaved in a mohair textile, shades of black and white come in a loose gauge knit, accented by a loose cut and distressing along the body. While tagged as a size small, this piece fits wildly oversized at a standard large, in pristine condition throughout.
