  • McQ was established in September 2005 as a sub-genre to the main Alexander McQueen namesake. McQ intended to converge street style with an eccentric persona, straying away from the abnormality of “Alexander McQueen” while staying true to core values. He executed such elegantly, portraying McQ as anything but a “diffusion line” which often feels as a diluted, cheaper alternative. Instead, garments like such were presented - wearable silhouettes with cracks of McQueen’s ingenuity shining through.

Coinciding with the legacy McQueen has left behind, the garment presented reads; “A thunder of darkness out of the dead of night”. In this, the creative director of Alexander McQueen - Sarah Burton, pays homage to her forerunner, speaking to the shockwave of “thunder” the designer previously instilled in an era so oblivious to his artistry. The typography choice is that of a gothic root, in a crimson red. Tagged as a wildly oversized extra-small, fitting a mens large and in like new condition with tags attached.
