AW17 Dior Homme x Dan Witz ‘Moshpit’ Negative Knitted Sweater

$800.00Price
  • Under direction of Dior’s menswear creative director, Kris Van Assche, the Fall 2017 collection would debut in collaboration with American street artist Dan Witz. Specializing in photorealistic paintings, together the two would release a small collaborative collection, plastering his so-called ‘Moshpit’ work atop a series of bomber jackets, denim and sweaters. Unveiled in the March of 2012, Witz’s oil based illustrations retain an distinct element of hyper-realism, showcasing a series of 8 separate angles of the angst filled, music-centric concert. Comprising the final five looks of the runway show, today the effort is hailed as a height of the Dior maison, produced in extremely limited quantities.

Debuting in the Autumn of 2017, this sweater comes in a black knitted base, using negative space to illustrate the silhouettes of violently expressive youth. As pictured, each face is shown aggressively throwing their bodies and fists towards one another. Manipulating the black background to contrast white graphic detailing, in a slim cut, the sweater features synched hems on all axis, among a tight weave. In pristine condition throughout, the sweater is tagged as a size large.
