AW18 Kiko Kostadinov ‘Delva Body’ Intarsia Knitted Sweater
Kiko Kostadinov’s Autumn 2018 collection titled ‘Obscured by Clouds’ is widely renowned as a pinnacle of the Bulgarian-born designer’s career. With a distinct focus on colour-blocking, from beginning to end the creative would toy with geometric patterning techniques and razor sharp tailoring. As always, Kostadinov’s palette was nothing short of excellent, as he blended toned sea foam greens with burnt reds and glossy black textiles. Void of any graphics, branding or mere insignia, each silhouette screamed of his unique design philosophy, bellowing over each blonde-haired model effortlessly. Through asymmetry and head-pounding pattern cutting, we’d gaze upon timeless silhouettes, in a sport-esque, futuristic aesthetic.
Debuting in the Fall 2018, this grail-worthy knit would first appear in look 14/32. Plagued as the so-call ‘Delva Body Intarsia’ sweater, a burnt red, shaggy textile is contrasted with sky blue hues, muted pinks and emerald-greys. Creating an illusory, melting motif, the sleeves are elongated, stacking at the cuff in pair with a cropped body and high neck. In pristine condition throughout, tagged as a size large.
