AW19 Rick Owens ‘Larry’ Red Suede Multi Pocket Jacket

Rick Owens’ Autumn 2019 collection was titled ‘Larry’, a nod to style icon, fashion designer, and personal inspiration, Larry LeGaspi. Most notable for his role in creating rock band Kiss’ outlandish fittings during the 70s-80s, LeGaspi is also known as pioneer in “combining Art Deco, sci-fi, black soul culture, and sexuality”. Prompting Rick Owens to publish “LeGaspi: Larry LeGaspi, the '70s, and the Future of Fashion.” alongside Rizzoli this same season, Fall 2018 would directly reflect LeGaspi’s outlandish design philosophies by painting model’s faces white, toying with geometry and maintaining glory amidst utter flamboyance. Through exaggerated cuts and a palette that pushed focus on sharp hues of red and muted orange, ‘Larry’ would live on through Owens’ eyes, bringing new life to an era of the past.

 

Debuting in Rick Owens’ Fall 2019 collection, this gorgeous overcoat comes in a blood red suede colour way. Fit with the American designer’s signature brutalist hang bar on the underside, button snap closures line the face of the jacket, in pair with two exterior cargo pockets, and two interior compartments as well. Tagged as a size 54 or large, this piece comes in pristine condition.
