AW19 Supreme ‘Ganesh’ Tonal Faux Fur Graphic Zip-up Jacket

For Supreme’s Autumn 2019 collection, the New York streetwear label references the Hindu deity Ganesh. Retaining many attributes, he is known as the god of wisdom, remover of obstacles, and is thought to bare good luck. Easily identified by an elephant head, Ganesha stands as the patron of arts and sciences, as well as the deva of intellect and wisdom. He’s found throughout India, honoured as a god of beginnings while doubling as a patron of letters. Scholars often differ about his origins, but is widely believed to first appear between the 1st century BCE and 2nd century CE.

 

Debuting in the Fall of 2019, this faux fur jacket depicts Ganesh in a tonal palette. Warm hues of green and red are complimented by metallic hardware, illustrating the Hindu god in a variety of portraits throughout. On the underside, a Supreme label sits, finalized with a wide cut and welt pockets. Tagged as a size medium, in pristine condition.
