AW21 Supreme ‘The Crow’ Comic White Full Print Denim Jeans

For Supreme’s Fall 2021 collection the New York streetwear label partnered with James O’Barr of the comic book series ‘The Crow’. Released in 1989, the story was developed to aid in the author’s grieving after his fiancé’s life was taken at the hands of a drunk driver. Reinterpreted in both three film sequels, a television series and numerous books, the tale speaks of a supernatural ‘superhero’ who is resurrected from the dead. Having been shot in the head, he’s paralyzed and forced to watch numerous gang members, rape, beat and eventually shoot his fiancé, before passing in the hospital. Seeking vengeance, he’s revived by a crow, proceeding to stalk and kill the murders while guided by the bird itself, telling a story of remorse, heartbreak and unconditional love

 

Debuting as a standout of the collaboration, this pair of denim illustrates many of The Crow’s gore-filled portrayals. In a sadistic manner, the main character is seen torturing his enemies, avenging his fiancé with physical assault. Shooting and beating each murder, experts of text read “Behold the night, offering the key that opens wide her gates of horn… to the emanations of delivered souls”, which appears in part 3. In a wide cut, this heavyweight pair of denim features metallic detailing among a contrasting graphic throughout. Tagged as a size large, they fit a 35x31.5 in pristine condition throughout.
