AW24 Kapital ‘Spring 1st’ Boro Stitch Blue Denim Trucker Jacket
Founded in 2002 by Toshikiyo (father) and Kiro Kirata (son), Kapital is a label pushing traditional Japanese craft to new limits. Rooted in denim repair, the label continues to reimagine classic Western staples through an Eastern eye, using rigorous technical ability to create highly unique silhouettes. Toshikiyo’s insight on denim in pair with Kirata’s youthful perspective drives Kapital in unique manner, catering to a wide audience while ensuring experiment. Growing to unfathomable heights, the father son duo now stand at one of Japan’s leading luxury brands with decades ahead of them.
Debuting in Kapital’s Autumn 2024 collection, this incredible ‘Spring 1st’ denim trucker jacket features an extremely laborious Boro technique atop a distressed blue textile. Crafted using spare scraps and patches, the sporadic stitching patterns are done by hand over the course of multiple days, making for unique geometric shapes and textures. Fit with metallic hardware and elongated sleeves, this jacket comes new with tags and is tagged as a size 2 or medium.
