AW96 Undercover Hand Painted Barbed Wire Trench Coat
Introducing the timeless Autumn Winter 1996 Undercover Hand Painted Barbed Wire Trench Coat. Undercover has been pushing the envelope of traditional fashion since the early 1990’s. Jun Takahashi founded the label in 1993 and has completely altered contemporary fashion since - especially in the Western world. The designer has reinvented the habitual uniform globally, telling stories through clothing and spinning fashion into a mantra of expression. Takahashi uses Undercover as a caveat to reach the youth, a megaphone to project his dissent in current society. Through this however, the Japanese designer has created many insignia of the brand. From scabbed patches to “CHUUUT” tag lines - all the way to interlocking barbed wire motifs, Undercover has become instantly recognizable as a result of creative engineering.
Starring the previously mentioned barbed graphic, Jun Takahashi coats a checkered wool pattern with the hand painted emblem throughout the base of this trench. He meshes three cargo pockets with the meticulous figure, and contrasts each with heather grey sleeves. Flaring the collar for a pronounced look, Takahashi has then tapered the silhouette inwards towards the middle body and finalized the piece with rustic buttons. Overall the garment is in great condition for a quarter of a century in age, with light use throughout. Fitting a medium, seize the opportunity to purchase the timeless Autumn Winter 1996 Undercover Hand Painted Barbed Wire Trench Coat today.
