  • Inducted under the Christian Dior maison in 1995, John Galliano pioneered an unreplicated era at the eponymous label. The British designer revealed a modern, theatrical and romantic identity to Dior, bringing life and prosperity atop the runway. Shying only from muted palettes, Galliano’s take felt euphoric and brave, unapologetically pushing the catwalk’s limits. He told stories with colour and often radiated with ecstasy, creating looks that jumped off the mere vessel carrying them. Not only did John Galliano revolutionize the turn of the century, but in many aspects, invented it.

Reading “J’Adore Dior” in a cut out medium, the tank top showcased clashes hues of black, white, red and gold. Playing on the famed ransom font, an assorted typeface criminals would use to send ransom notes, the letters are fragmented and displaced. Widely popularized by Lucy Liu in TV comedy ‘Sex and the City’, the print has since become highly sought after, and cemented under the reign of John Galliano. Fitting a size small, in great condition throughout.
