Junya Watanabe’s Fall 2005 collection was created in partnership with 10 Corso Como, an Italian art gallery in Milan. Founded by Carla Sozzani in 1990, the space celebrates all mediums of expression, including music, fashion, design and cuisine culture. In recent history, the namesake has branched into apparel of its own, undertaking creative direction as an eponymous brand. Amassing a niche yet cult-like following through collaborative efforts with Maison Margiela and Comme des Garçons, today 10 Corso Como retains a distinct consumer basis among archivists alike.
Debuting in the Autumn 2006 collection, this pair of denim features sporadic hand painted graffiti stencilling. Leaching downwards from the waist band, lettering fades across either leg, intersecting with blotchy white paint details as 1/1 iterations. Reading “Comme des Garçons Corso Como” atop an deep wash base, these jeans are complete with metallic accents and a wide Levi’s 503 cut. Tagged as a size 34-34, measuring a 34x29.5, in great condition throughout.
