FW10 Dior Homme Pendulum Paint Splatter Stone Wash Denim
Kris Van Assche took the helm of Dior in 2007, following Hedi Slimane’s prestigious legacy. Unbeknownst to the newly positioned designer, he would stand at the foot of a decade long venture, brining new faces like A$AP Rocky to the face of Dior. Aschee pushed the namesake into a progressive direction, heavily sampling ideas from music and contemporary art. He updated Dior’s elegant persona, bringing new life to the age-old luxury label, while similarily adopting street-esque tropes and a sense of personality. Assche changed the menswear circuit in an unforgettable way, forever celebrated in the modern age.
Debuting in the Autumn 2010 collection, this unique pair of denim utilizes a pendulum painting technique atop a stone wash jean. Speckling the outer hem with black pigment, a paint can is swung to create a distinct symmetry across the face and underside of the garment. Complete with metallic hardware and darting on the back pocket, finished with gorgeous whiskering towards the thigh. Fitting a size 30.5x31.5, in great condition throughout.
