Julius’ origins are humbly found in film production, only moving to the fashion industry in 2004. Launching a small capsule collection a decade prior, founder Tatsuo Horikawa unveiled an experimental leather goods company coined ‘NUKE’ in 1997. From here, the Japanese designer found his exaggerated and rather uniform niche, essentially rebranding NUKE to Julius in 2001. Horikawa launched Julius_7 (menswear) and MA Julius (unisex) in 2004, defining the namesake as a maximalist among other identities. Presenting his first collection at Paris Fashion Week in 2008, Julius has now grown to become a renown label, celebrated for great feats in silhouette and construction.
Debuting in the Fall 2010 collection, this pair of pants features Julius’ signature gas mask silhouette, complete with exaggerated cargo pockets and an oversized fit. Coming in a black colour way, metallic hardware is accented by reinforced hems and synching mechanisms. Finalized with triangular upper pockets and skinny, linear compartments, fitting a size 33.5x34 in great condition throughout.
