Founded in 1993, Jun Takahashi’s Undercover is a Japanese label that continues to reinvent our ideals of street culture, luxury and the underground. Injecting the Parisian fashion circuit with a dose of Harajuku’s rebellious ethos, the seasoned designer has successfully managed to illuminate punk characteristics under an affluent light. Through an obsession with reference and a desire for chaos, since Takahashi’s first runway collection in ‘94, he’s been persistent in educating his followers, while deconstructing the premise of ‘beauty’. With such a delicate balance between maximalism and elegance, Jun Takahashi reveals daring collections to this day, pushing compelling narratives and daring silhouettes.
Debuting in the Spring of 2002, this crewneck reads of a core slogan of the Undercover label. Spelling out ‘Generation Fuck You’ across the chest, bold white lettering is emblazoned atop a heavyweight United Sports Activewear base. Having left the original tag, this incredibly rare iteration of the GFY graphic comes in a wide cut, tagged as a size medium in pristine condition throughout.
