Takahiro Miyashita’s Spring 2004 collection was inspired by the 1970’s British punk rock movement. Titled “Dream Baby Dream” as an ode to Suicide’s 6 minute hit single, the Clash’s “London Calling” played harmoniously to the beat of each step. An overarching theme was chalked with reference, leather accessories and a scruff aesthetic deriving from Suicide frontman Alan Vega, while leather biker cuts and loose fitting suits furthered the uncut style. The collection remains a pivotal point of the Japanese designer’s career, encompassing the London aesthetic with ease.
Coming in a black fishnet textile, this wildly intricate hoodie features ribbed hems and a boxy silhouette. Designed to reveal underlying graphics or bare skin, the hoodie allows for an array of layering techniques and design possibilities. Tagged as a size medium, in pristine condition throughout.
