SS11 Balmain by Christophe Decarnin ‘Safety Pin’ Distressed Blood Red Tank Top

Christophe Decarnin’s Spring 2011 collection at the newly revived Balmain namesake brought twenty-first century photo-punks to the forefront of the runway. Staged atop a tame catwalk, harsh tones of red, washed blues and a surplus of monochromatic shades were adorned with copious amounts of safety pins and patriotic emblems. Graffiti motifs were then scribbled atop white denim bottoms and biker jackets, finished with a rebellious attitude and sky-high retail pricing.

 

Debuting in the Spring of 2011, one of Decarnin’s most iconic collections, this blood red tank top is equipped with a slew of metallic hardware. Holding the distressed, sleeveless tank together, silver safety pins plague the tie-dye base, making for a uniquely square cut top. Tagged as a size medium, in pristine condition throughout.
