SS15 Hood By Air ‘Cross Zip’ Embossed 69 Leather Jacket

Shayne Oliver’s Spring 2015 collection at the Hood By Air label is widely regarded as one of his greatest bodies of work. Walking a series of dystopian looks, the American designer would affix models in restrictive, clear neck braces and asymmetric tops, brining an aura of cyber-futurism and prisoner chic to the runway. Models strut the catwalk alongside live dogs and bondage-centric fittings, cinching bodies with skinny denim and draping leather fittings. Creating a parallel between what appeared to be prisoners of the future, guards and rebels, the blue-tinted show truly solidified Oliver’s vision for Hood By Air’s coming years.

 

Debuting in Hood By Air’s Spring 2015 collection, this iconic cross zip jacket makes up 8/43 runway looks. Styled in a variety of ways, the leather bomber comes complete with ‘HBA’ embossing across the chest and torso, as well as ‘69’ motifs on either sleeve. Metallic zipper hardware spirals around the wearer’s abdomen to pair and is finalized with belt loops in a revolving manner. As an extremely rare piece from the height of Shayne Oliver’s label, this item comes tagged as a size medium, and is in pristine condition throughout.
