SS16 Balmain ‘Loose Gauge’ Tan Oversized Knitted Sweater

$335.00Price
  • Founded in 1945 by Pierre Balmain as a French Maison, Balmain has deeply rooted ties to royalty, opulence and luxury. Dressing the stars of the century back in the 50s, Mr.Balmain would cement his brand in the eye of popular culture through an ultra-feminine physique which paralleled the current era’s fittings. Following his death in 1982, Balmain would go on to sustain many creative directors like Oscar de la Renta, Christophe Decarnin, Erik Mortensen and now Olivier Rousteing over the next four decades, influencing both couture and mainstream levels of fashion with prestige. From denim to dresses, utility and flamboyance, the label continues to work closely with its roots and while simultaneously pushing forth its own creative agenda.

Debuting in the Spring of 2016 under Olivier Rouseing’s direction, this gorgeous sweater comes in a loose gauge knit pattern. Draping over the wearer’s body with a massively oversized fit, the top sits close to the skin, revealing skin through a series of holes and abstract patterns. Tagged as a size extra small, this piece fits a men’s size large with ease, and is in great condition throughout.
