SS17 Balenciaga ‘Ring’ Black Blistered Leather Moto Jacket

Having joined the Balenciaga label a year prior, Demna Gvasalia’s Spring 2017 collection worked as a foundational season for the Georgian designer. Opening the show with a jacket Gvasalia had found unfinished from Cristobal Balenciaga’s time at his eponymous Maison, the newly appointed creative would sift through their archives to unveil a refined, silhouette focused season. Predating Gvasalia’s signature roots in irony, pronounced shoulders and oversized suits would plague the catwalk, focusing instead on minimalist ideologies as opposed to new season, graphic-centric shows.

 

Debuting in the Spring of 2017, this gorgeous moto jacket comes complete with a blistered leather exterior and metallic ring detailing. Zippered pockets run across the torso, in pair with an embroidered Balenciaga logo on the collar’s underside and silver hardware throughout. Tagged as a size medium, this piece comes in pristine condition throughout.
