SS17 Maison Margiela ‘Face’ Pointillism Knit Cherry Bomber Jacket

Martin Margiela remains a fashion forefather, avant-grade pioneer and symbol of the anti-fashion circuit. Swimming against the current of haute couture in the late 1980’s, Margiela reworked the seams of the fashion industry in spite of previously retained social norms. Debuting in the Spring of 2017, this bomber jacket remains as a hidden gem in the midst of a cult-classic collection. Using an abstract technique known as pointillism, an anonymous figure is detailed through white contrast dotting atop a cherry red knitted base. The silhouette is then accented by welt pockets and a gorgeous heavyweight silver zipper. Finished with a slim cut, this piece is tagged as a size small but fits an oversized medium, and is in pristine condition throughout.
