For Supreme’s Spring 2019 collection, the New York streetwear label teamed up with the French haute couture label Jean Paul Gaultier. The unexpected collaboration debuted a series of prints many are familiar with, including a spin on Gaultier’s iconic Autumn 1997 ‘Fight Racism’ graphic. In pair with floral hoodies, an illusive portrait box logo, cologne, sunglasses, belts and bottoms, the collection was deemed a success, and in turn amassed notoriety among enthusiasts and archivists alike.
Sporting Jean Paul Gaultier’s infamous 1997 ‘Fight Racism’ print, this denim riders jacket features a flared collar and cherry red base. Manipulating the visual illusion ‘Trompe L’oeil’ in pair with pointillism, two neo-Nazi skinheads are depicted in various poses, among ironic lettering that reads “FUCK RACISM”. A metallic name plate sits along the waist, and is complimented by top loading breast pockets and exposed zipper. In pristine condition throughout, tagged as a size large.
