SS20 Supreme ‘My Bloody Valentine’ Full Print Denim Trucker Jacket

For Supreme’s Spring 2020 collection, the New York streetwear label paid homage to Irish rock band ‘My Bloody Valentine’. Unveiling a series of full print garments, we were invited to gaze upon various reinterpreted album covers atop jean and cotton textiles. Likely choosing the band for their ideals in shadowed infamy, the 90’s outcasts share a passion for noise, mystery and reclusion. Well known for their 1991 release, Loveless, MBV would go on to influence bands like Radiohead, pioneering the act of ‘showgazing’. Through ear-piercing riffs and melodic undertones, the band retains an unprecedented stature among prominent grunge figures.

 

In a boxy, monochromatic colour way, this denim trucker jacket depicts My Bloody Valentine’s 1988 album, ‘Feed Me With Your Kiss’. Among an array of paneling and metallic hardware, a yellow Supreme logo sits atop the right chest pocket, complimented by light blue hues towards the bottom hem. Wrapping around to the underside, the graphic leaches down either sleeve and collar, finalized with contrasting details throughout. Tagged as a size extra large, in pristine condition throughout.
