Rick Owens Spring 2022 collection, titled ‘Fogachine’, explored geometric tropes through abstract tailoring and maximalist philosophy. Beginning with Owens’ spouse, Michèle Lamy, the runway retained a distinct sense of authenticity, distorting model’s silhouettes with exaggerated cuts. Pushing focus to use of textile, the designer incorporated laborious mohair weaves and embellished vails, draping down the body effortlessly. As with all of Rick Owens’ portfolio, the collection was concise, executed with utmost accuracy at the Palais de Tokyo.
A stand out of the Fall ‘22 showing, this loose gauge weave features thrashed detailing throughout. By synching and releasing the textile, a sporadic, rather asymmetric look is created, following down the arms and bottom hem in a black pigment. Fitting a size large, in new with tags condition.
