SS22 Supreme x Raúl de Nieves ‘Chainstitch’ 14oz Embroidered Denim

For Supreme’s Spring 2022 collection under direction of Tremaine Emroy, the New York streetwear label took on a series of vibrant colours and patterning. With an unexpected focus on puffers and bombers, it’s clear Emroy strive to push the brand’s boundaries with labour intensive techniques. Crafting a full chain stitch pant and jacket set, as well as an assortment of leather pieces like a studded bomber and anorak, the collection felt authentic to Supreme’s roots, while maintaining Emory’s creative hit. Through select pieces, this season we found collaborative efforts with Gore-Tex, B.B. Simon and Vanson, all of which are long-standing partners of the Supreme label.

 

Debuting in the Spring ‘22 collection, this pair of 14oz denim comes as a standout from the release. Working alongside Brooklyn’s Raúl de Nieves for the artwork, Emroy would opt for extremely heavy weight chain stitch embroidery to create such a unique graphic. Interweaving faces between the distorted Supreme spellout lettering, the bottoms retain a wide cut and are accented with metallic hardware throughout. In pristine condition, these fit a size 33x28.
