  • Founding his menswear label years later in 1984, Jean Paul Gaultier was plagued as “l’enfant terrible” for his outlandish, inexcusable designs. Consciously reconstructing our vision of beauty, he experimented without remorse, drawing inspiration from from taboo fetishes and romanticizing femininity in the menswear realm. Utilizing rebellious textiles, Gaultier conveyed his message through inventive mediums, popularizing the mesh full print silhouette. Stomping on guidelines in pursuit of creative expression, Gaultier is now hailed as a fashion forefather and true Magnus opus in his field.

Debuting in the Spring 1993 collection, this denim jacket features a spectacle of faces throughout. In a gorgeous blue tone, white contrast detailing runs throughout, using negative space to depict a variety of individuals.
