SS99 Helmut Lang “Prisoner” Olive Striped Denim
Debuting in 1986, Helmut Lang’s timeless silhouettes and minimalistic persona has altered the modern expectation of fashion. The designer pushed a mantra of utility rather than beauty, breaking free of the high fashion circuit. His designs filled a void of professional individualism, making way for new caveat of self expression in a white-collar exterior. Through the 90’s and early 2000’s Helmut Lang reignited the image of post-punk rockers, dressing the community in militaristic ‘formal’ attire. Prospering through years of obscure trends and avant-garde thinking, Lang evidently perfected the art of fashion through nineteen years of triumph.
Debuting in the Spring of 1999, this pair of striped denim pays homage to that of the traditional prisoner uniform. Olive detailing encircles each leg, complimented by metallic accenting and a heavyweight textile. Fitting a size 32x30, in great condition throughout.
