AW03 Dolce & Gabbana 3D Cargo Pocket Rabbit Fur Hunting Jacket

Dolce & Gabbana’s Autumn 2003 showing unveiled a new direction for the Italian maison. Models walked with a submissive aura, confined by restraining belts and other synching mechanisms. Hardware plagued jackets, denim and footwear alike, emphasizing tropes of utility held within. Leather textiles sat among reworked cargo denim and fur lined parkas, synching and straining the extremities to pair. In contrast to Dolce & Gabbana’s rather traditional take on the fashion circuit, this collection pulled from the likes of BDSM and fetish-wear. While unusual, the duo managed to capture the essence of bondage through a utilitarian lens with ease.

 

Accentuating the collection’s militaristic hues, this bomber jacket features an array of 3D cargo pockets and a brown corduroy base. Metallic detailing clasps each compartment with button and zipper fixtures, or alternate leather belting instruments. An MA-1 style pocket sits atop the right sleeve, complemented by 13 other cargo details, some hidden inside others. Finalized with maroon hems, rabbit fur lines the interior, fitting a size small in great condition throughout.
